Made up of a group of creative and seasoned design professionals, backed by 10 years of industry experience, RG&A prides its self on a body of work that reflects a clear understanding of the many facets and demands of projects. In keeping with our comprehensive design philosophy to be truly a fully integrated turnkey asset we offer a broad range of services ranging from hourly consultations and full-service interior design to art consultation, graphic design programs and purchasing.
All considerations, from aesthetic, cultural and geographic to budget and completion dates, are taken into account by us when developing a program for the work to be done.

 

FEES


The initial meeting is always complimentary and the fees are based on either an hourly rate or a flat fee that reflects the over all budget and scope of the project.

 

APPROACH


Our design approach and scope of service's can be broken down into 5 phases as follows:


Project Review


The client’s design wishes are discussed and a preliminary direction, style, budget, schedule and quality of finishes identified.

  • Review scope of project.
  • Determine floor covering locations and types of floor coverings.
  • Determine wall surface finishes.
  • Determine style of plumbing fixtures.
  • Determine style of furniture and window treatments.
  • Determine types and locations of surface finishes such as counter tops, fireplace surrounds, bathtub decking and shower enclosures.

 
Concept Design


Proceed with the conceptual planning based on the outcome of the project review phase.

  • Draft preliminary furniture plan.
  • Draft preliminary floor covering plan.
  • Choose preliminary floor covering materials and surface materials.
  • Draft preliminary lighting plan.
  • Select preliminary plumbing fixtures.
  • Develop an estimated cost of implementing the concept.

 
Design Development


Work closely with the client to ensure all wants and needs are met, and through sketches and/or Auto CAD documentation provide the appropriate information to the client and all consultants (architect, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) that may be involved on the project.

  • Review with client all items covered under the concept design phase.
  • Revise furniture placement plan and furniture selections, if needed.
  • Revise lighting plan, if needed.
  • Write plumbing fixture specifications.
  • Prepare all needed elevations and details.
  • Prepare “Image Book" presentation including preliminary cost estimates.
  • Prepare finish material and wall covering schedules and furniture specifications to reflect final choices made by client.

 
Design Implementation


Work with the contractor, consultants and manufacturers in reviewing bids, assisting in the negotiations, and making reasonable adjustments in order to meet budgets. This includes periodic visits to the project site to ensure that the work is being performed in accordance with submitted documents, specifications and design concepts.


Purchasing


Due to 10 years of experience in the interior design industry, we are able to obtain excellent prices from top vendors and sources.

  • Prepare all purchase orders.
  • Track coordinate and expediting all items being purchased.
  • Arrange for warehousing until time of installation.
  • Inspect all furniture items and follow up with vendors if necessary.
  • Schedule and supervise installation of all purchases, including mounting of all art.
